Two generations of Robinson Gay are
craftsmen of the highest order.
With their team of craftsmen, who have all been apprenticed within the
company, they produce furniture that is built to last for generations and
which will become the antiques of tomorrow. Their own design range, insists upon
using the natural grain of selected woods and pronounced jointing as raised
detail wherever possible. Their work is individually designed usually on a
commissioned basis and whether free standing or fitted, modern or
reproduction it is made with the care and expertise only patience and skill
can produce with many years of practice. Examples of Robinson GayÕs work, can
be seen at their Kirkharle Gallery (20miles north-east of Newcastle just off
the A696 on the B6342 ). Also at their shop in Market Street, Hexham you can
see examples of their craftsmanship, with drawings and recently finished
